Anthony S. ""Red""  Arre
Anthony “Red” S. Arre, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2014) at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Ctr., Hartford, CT. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth (Noll) Arre and father of the late Anthony “Tony” S. Arre. Anthony was born on March 18, 1934 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, CT, the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Niosi) Arre, and was a lifelong resident. Anthony proudly served his country with the U.S. Army from 1956 - 58. He was employed for many years with Canteen Vending Services formerly ARA of Windsor Locks. Anthony enjoyed spending time in his yard and time with his cherished and adored grandchildren and great grandson.
He is survived by his loving daughter Susan Lizotte and her husband David of Enfield and daughter-in-law Sherry Arre of Enfield, five beloved grandchildren Lisa Cassista, Nicole Arre, Anthony Arre, Cara Lizotte and Alicia Lizotte and great grandson Jace Arre, along with many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours for Anthony are on Friday (Feb. 7, 2014) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, The Funeral Service will be Saturday (Feb. 8, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Interment in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer‘s Assoc. CT Chapter 2075 Silas Deane Hwy. Ste. 100 Rocky Hill, CT.06067.
