Obituary for Shirley Anthony
Shirley Anthony, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest, at the age of 99, on Sunday February 16, 2014 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs.
He was born May 27, 1914 in Pembroke, Maine, son of the late Roy and Tessie (Robinson) Anthony. Shirley resided in Enfield for over 60 years.
He was a retired employee of Pratt & Whitney after 35 years of service.
Shirley is survived by his beloved wife Nellie (Gizara) Anthony, a son Mark Anthony of Mission Viejo, CA, and a niece Betty Chase of Portland, ME. He was predeceased by a brother Fletcher and a sister Imie Erskine.
The family would like to especially thank the staff at Evergreen Health Center for the exceptional and compassionate care given to Shirley.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday (Feb. 24, 2014) at 11:00 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, a visitation period prior to the service will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the Enfield Street Cemetery in Enfield.
