Raymond “Ray” M. Jones, 87, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Saturday (July 19, 2014) at Kindred Parkway Healthcare, in Enfield. Ray was the beloved husband of the late Shirley M. Jones. He was born on March 13, 1927 in Fair Haven, Vermont son to the late Percival C. and Mary R. (Hamlin) Jones. He served his country honorably as a proud member of the U.S. Navy during WW II. Prior to his retirement Ray was employed for 41 years with Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford. He was a outdoors man who enjoyed fishing and hunting, he also enjoyed having coffee with the Elm Street DD gang.
Ray is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Wayne M. and Kim Jones of Enfield, along with several friends, especially his buddy John Gould.
A graveside service will be held on Friday (July 25, 2014) at 2:00 p.m. in the Enfield Street Cemetery in Enfield.
