Obituary for Emmett Samuel "Sam" Kresge, Jr.

Emmett Samuel "Sam"  Kresge, Jr.
Emmett Samuel “Sam” Kresge Jr. 77, entered into eternal peace on October 13, 2014. Sam was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on June 23, 1937 the son of the late Emmett S. and Dorothy Lantz Kresge. Sam was an Enfield resident for most of his life and attended local schools. He was a graduate of Enfield High School and American International College in Springfield MA. He was formerly employed by Pratt & Whitney and retired after thirty four years of service. Sam was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and an active member of the Melha Shriners of Springfield, MA. He was a former member of the Masonic Doric Lodge #94 AF & AM of Enfield, an active member of the Composite Lodge # 28 and a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Norwich, CT. Sam is survived by his devoted and beloved wife Mary Lou (Petit) Rovelli Kresge. He is also survived by a daughter Deborah Kuchmas and her husband Brian, sons Dean and Kurt Kresge, step-daughter Carla Rovelli Grace and husband Bob, step sons Keith, Anthony and Michael Rovelli. Sam also leaves nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and two nieces. He was predeceased by a sister Carol Radziewicz.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday October 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels 43 Shaker Rd Enfield Ct, with Pastor Barry Andrusik officiating. A Masonic Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sam’s family will receive relatives and friends at Browne Memorial Chapels Saturday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Enfield Street Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial donations may be made to the Enfield Food Shelf, P.O. Box 699 Enfield, CT 06093.
