Obituary for Michael J. Arnone, Sr.

Michael J. Arnone, Sr. 76, of Enfield entered into eternal life on Friday (Oct. 17, 2014) at Hartford Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was the beloved husband of 52years to Patricia E. (Moselsky) Arnone. Michael was born on August 8, 1938 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, son of the late Charles and Frances (Seminara) Arnone and step-mother Nina (Santa Croce) Arnone. He was a lifelong resident of Enfield and graduate of Enfield H.S., he continued his education receiving his master degree from the University of Hartford.
Michael was a veteran serving his country honorably with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Prior to retiring in 1992 he was employed as a senior cost analyst with Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford for 35 years and was a substitute teacher for the Town of Enfield, Board of Education.
He was a communicant of St. Bernard Church, Enfield and served on the Parish Council, Michael enjoyed playing bingo at the senior center and was an avid fan of the NY Giants, Red Sox and UCONN Huskies basketball & football.
Besides his beloved wife Pat, he is survived by his children; Michael J. Arnone, Jr. & his wife Lori of Vernon, CT and Lisa F. Tolnai & her husband Kevin of Georgia, his cherished grandchildren; Tyler and Logan Tolnai, his two nephews; Leo Arnone and Thomas Arnone, his niece; Linda Arnone and their families, along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends. Michael was predeceased by his brother Leo Arnone.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Monday (Oct. 20,) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday (Oct. 21,) with the funeral procession forming at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Bernard Church, Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery in Enfield.
