Ward A.  Keegan, Jr.
Ward A. Keegan, Jr., of Broad Brook, CT entered into eternal life at the age of 52, on Wednesday (Nov. 12, 2014) at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Ctr. in Hartford, CT. He was the beloved husband of 29 years to Laurie J. (Desplaines) Keegan and loving father of Ryan, Matthew and Elizabeth Keegan, and grandfather of Patrick Keegan. Ward was born on July 13, 1962 in Hartford, CT a son of Ward A. Sr. and Noella (Bernard) Keegan of Enfield. He had resided in Broad Brook for the past 14 years and in Springfield, MA before that. Ward was employed by Lia Toyota of Wilbraham, MA for the past 7 years and prior to that was a Sgt. with Federal Security Police, Department of Energy. He was an avid sport enthusiast, NY Giants & NY Yankees fan and enjoyed watching sports with his family.
Ward is also survived by his two brothers Joseph Keegan & his wife Deborah and Timothy Keegan & his wife Christine both of Enfield, his sister-in-law Christina Desplaines Black and brother-in-law Edward Desplaines, along with many nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Ward’s family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours on Sunday (Nov. 16, 2014) from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be held on Monday (Nov. 17, 2014) with the funeral procession forming at 10:00 a.m. to St. Bernard’s Church 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery in Enfield.
