Mary  A.  Karakla (Kincman)
Mary A. (Kincman) Karakla, 83, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Wednesday (Jan. 7, 2015) at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Clarence “Clem” Karakla. Mary was born on May 11, 1931 in Rockville, CT, the daughter of the late William and Mary (Filip) Kincman. She had resided in Enfield for the past 58 years and in Rockville before that. Prior to her retirement in 1996 she was employed by Springborn Lab. in Enfield for 22 years. Mary was a communicant of St. Bernard Church Enfield and very active with the church, volunteering on numerous committees, a member of the rosary guild and an Extraordinary Minister, She had a passion for polka music and dancing, also enjoyed word search puzzles and trivia, she was an outstanding cook & baker.
Besides her husband Clem, Mary is also survived by her two loving daughters and sons-in-law;
Kathleen Karakla & her husband Steven Richloff and Karen Enderle & husband Art all of Enfield and her adored granddaughter Alyse Enderle & her fiancé Kenny Conley, along with her pet grandchildren and special cat “Gretchen”.
Mary’s family would especially like to thank the staff and volunteers at the Felician Adult Day Center and her caregivers; Jen, Carol, Tammi, and Debi.
Friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Sunday (Jan. 11, 2015) from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be held on Monday (Jan. 12, 2015) with the funeral procession forming at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Bernard Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Bernard Church, Felician Adult Day Center or Dakin Humane Society, Springfield, MA.
