Obituary for Jeannette "Jan" Suzanne Allard (Flagg)
Jeannette “Jan” Suzanne (Flagg) Allard, 78 of Enfield, the beloved wife of Emile Louis Allard for more than 58 years, passed into eternal life, on Thursday March 5, 2015 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Putnam, CT, the daughter of the late Alfred Andrew Flagg and Irene Blanche Fortier. Jan grew up and attended schools in Bristol, CT.
Besides her husband Emile, she is survived by her three daughters; Lori Jagielow Anderson & husband Michael of Middletown, CT, Christie Allard Mason & her husband Chad of Stafford Springs, CT, and René Allard Bowers & her husband Edward of South Carolina, her two sons; Gary Allen Allard & his wife Carol of Queensbury, NY and Neil Steven Allard & his wife Lisa of Leesville, South Carolina, several beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jeannette also leaves her sister; Cecile Marie Winters & her husband Thomas of North Fort Myers, FL, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister; Rose-Marie Flagg Hayden.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Monday March 9, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2015 with the funeral procession forming at 9:30 a.m. to St. Adalbert Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will then follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Enfield, CT. Memorial donations in Jeannette’s memory may be made to the VITAS Hospice Program 628 Hebron Ave. Glastonbury, CT 06033.
