George J. Ramsey, Jr., 74, beloved husband of Bonnie (Bushey) Ramsey, of Somers, died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at home surrounded by family. Born in Stafford Springs, CT on January 3, 1941, to the late George J., Jr. and Adele (Wozniak) Ramsey, he was a lifelong resident of Somers. He attended Cheney Tech. Prior to retiring George had been self employed as a carpenter.
Besides his wife Bonnie, he leaves eight children, Christa of AZ, Gerald, Laurie and her husband Mark and James, all of MD, Mark of Ellington, Jacqueline, Christine and her husband Rodney and Jason all of Somers, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Dennis. George’s family will receive relatives and friends Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Somers Knights of Columbus, Somers, CT. A prayer service will be held at 11:30 a.m.
