Charles "Chuck" D.  Rathbun, II
Charles “Chuck” D. Rathbun, II, passed from his earthly journey unexpectedly, at the age of 49, on Sunday June 14, 2015. He was the beloved husband of 27 years to Laura (Curcio) Rathbun. Charles was born on April 10, 1966 son of Helen (Henry) Rathbun – Pinkham and the late Charles D. Rathbun, Sr., he was a graduate of Enrico Fermi H.S. and a lifelong resident of Enfield. Chuck was a self-employed painting contractor for many years. He had a passion for motorcycles and riding, nature & the outdoors, animals, computer games, enjoyed life and loved to laugh, eating out, and Hampton Beach, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Along with his wife and mother he is also survived by his four beloved children; Charles M. Rathbun and wife Michelle of Enfield, Brittany Beauregard & husband David of NH, Ryan Rathbun & wife Kayleigh of Enfield and Stephanie Rathbun of Enfield, his nine cherished grandchildren, his buddy (dog) “Sherman”, his three sisters; Maryanne Rennell of NH, Helayna McGuire of MN, and Claudia Roderick of FL, also several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his father he was also predeceased by a sister Catherine Covello.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Chuck’s life will be held on Saturday June 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Anthony Bruno officiating. Relatives and friends may gather with his family prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Enfield Food Shelf P.O. Box 699, Enfield, CT 06083-0699.
