Obituary for James J. Jordan

James J. Jordan, 52, of Enfield, died peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, James was the son of the late Ralph and Joan (Michaud) Jordan. He has been a lifelong resident of Enfield and a communicant of St. Patrick Church. In his youth, James attended St. Joseph’s school and graduated from Enfield High School. He was an avid sportsman, hunter and sports enthusiast. He was a gentle soul who loved animals and was often in the company of his friends. James is survived by his brother, Michael, his wife Germaine, their six children, Kathleen, Therese, Maria, Elizabeth, Clare and Stephen; his sister, Sandra, her husband, John, their nine children, Stephanie, John, Kevin, Aileen, Gabrielle, Hannah, Liam, Kolbe and Theresa; his aunt, Rita Wecker, her husband, Ted, his aunt, Greta Michaud, his uncle, Philip Michaud, and many cousins and relatives. Family and friends will gather on Friday, September 25, 2015 by 9:15 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels for a procession to St. Patrick Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held at St. Patrick King Street Cemetery. James’ family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 25, 2015 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT 06082.
