Lloyd A. Jarvis, Sr. 84, of Enfield, eternal into eternal life on Wednesday Oct. 14, 2015, at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare, Enfield. Lloyd was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Wanda (Panek) Jarvis. He was born on April 12, 1931 in Manchester, CT, the son of the late William and Josephine (Balon) Jarvis and resided in Enfield for the past 65years and in Manchester before that. Lloyd served his country proudly with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to retiring Lloyd was a self-employed salesman with Hartford Snack for many years. He was a member of the American Legion, the Rinaldi-Fede Post 17 Enfield, and the Knights of Columbus Council 50 Enfield. In his leisure time he was a great tennis player, enjoyed volunteering at the Enfield Senior Center, Polka dancing, gambling, but his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter Diane Maxellon & husband Doug of Enfield and his son Lloyd A. Jarvis & wife Joanne of East Windsor, his six beloved and cherished grandchildren Michele Vogt & husband William of FL, Brian Maxellon of Enfield, Nicole Maxellon of Enfield, Ryan Jarvis, Kristie Jarvis and Lloyd Jarvis all of East Windsor and two loving great granddaughters Samantha & Aubrey Vogt, also his special friend Ellie Fiore who kept the smile on his face the last two years. Along with his wife and parents he was predeceased by two sons Wayne Jarvis (1999) and Glenn Jarvis (2009), and a brother Richard Jarvis.
Relatives and friends may join his family during calling hours on Sunday Oct. 18, 2015 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday Oct. 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers because of Lloyd’s love for the Senior Center the family has requested memorial donation in his memory may be made to the Enfield Senior Center, 299 Elm Street Enfield, CT 06082.
