Helen A.  Rathbun - Pinkham (Henry)
Helen A. (Henry) Rathbun-Pinkham, 84, of Enfield, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday Dec. 18, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Charles D. Rathbun, Sr. and 3 years to the late Howard Pinkham. Helen was born on July 31, 1931in Lowell, MA, daughter of the late Francis, Sr. and Margaret (Roberts) Henry. She attended Sacred Heart School, Lowell High School and Lowell Commercial College. She resided in Enfield for over 50 years and in Springfield, MA prior to that. Helen was the Parish Secretary at St. Martha Church in Enfield having retired after over 40 years of service. With the talent to sing she was the original founding member of St. Martha’s Choir from 1961to the late 2000’s, having song at many weddings & funerals. Now she is a member of the Choir of Angels in Heaven. A devout Catholic Helen was very dedicated to her religion. She was a daily communicant of St. Martha’s until she moved to St. Francis Residence at the Felician Sisters in Enfield 3 years ago where she attended Mass at the convent daily, and was surrounded by the Felician Sisters and many friends there. Helen had a personal devotion to the Sacred Heart Chapel at St. Martha’s and the earthly Trinity being Jesus, Mary & Joseph, also love for family and her little dog, “Koko”. She was a former member of St. Martha’s Players. Helen was also a member St. Therese Carmelite Lay Tertiary and the Enfield Senior Ctr. Helen had a passion for singing and zest for life, line dancing and playing cards especially pinochle & set back.

Helen is survived by her three loving daughters Maryanne Rennell of NH, Helayna McGuire of MN, and Claudia Roderick of FL, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, a sister Pauline Maillard and brother Francis Henry, Jr. both of NC, along with many nieces and nephews.
Helen was also predeceased by a daughter Catherine (Rathbun) Covello, recently a son Charles “Chuck” D. Rathbun, II, and a sister Teresa (Henry) Miller.

Per Helen’s request there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday December 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Helen’s memory may be made to The Felicican Sisters 1315 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.
