Kenneth J. Traskos, 66, of Enfield passed from his earthly journey on Thursday March 3, 2016 at Mercy Medical Ctr., Springfield, MA. He was the beloved husband of 42 years to the late Sherry A. (Dufel) Traskos. Ken was born on Dec. 12, 1949 in Amsterdam, NY to the late Aloysious and Josephine (Grzebien) Traskos and had resided in Enfield for the past 40 years.
Ken enlisted with the U.S. Marine Crops and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed with Hamilton Standard/Sundstrand and Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, for many years.
Kenneth is survived by his son Matthew Traskos & wife Jennifer of Amsterdam, NY, his daughter Rebecca Traskos of Enfield and his son-in-law Jason Sutton of E. Longmeadow, MA, along with his 11 beloved and cherished grandchildren, Juliana Jackson, Jacob Jackson, Sydney Hykel, Connor Sutton, Trent Sutton, Haley Sutton, Kayla Traskos, Marcus Traskos, Alexis Traskos, Drew Traskos and Peyton Traskos. He was also predeceased by his daughter Kelly Traskos Sutton in March 2015.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 9, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield followed by a Celebration of Life Service with Mark T. DeJesus officiating and military honors. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
