Gladys J. (Gemberling) Lefebvre, 83, of Enfield, beloved wife of the late Roland E. Lefebvre, fell asleep in death, one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Johnson Memorial Medical Center. Born in Selinsgrove, PA, Gladys was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Helen C. (Miller) Gemberling. A longtime resident of Enfield, Gladys was a member of the Enfield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was a waitress for over thirty-five years at Pizza Palace in Enfield, retiring in 2001. She also worked as a homemaker for Caring Solutions. Gladys enjoyed shopping with QVC. She is survived by her daughters, Delores Thomas-Rodriguez and her husband, Nelson of Enfield, and Laurie Moore of Middletown; her three grandchildren, Jesse Thomas, Kevin Rodriguez and Raymond Rodriguez; her sister, Patricia “Pat” Miller, and her brother, Charles “Bud” Gemberling, both of Pennsylvania; and several nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Roland “Chip” Lefebvre and her brother James Gemberling. A memorial service in celebration of Gladys’ life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Enfield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 322 North Maple Street, Enfield, CT 06082. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT 06082. Memorial donations may be made to the Enfield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 322 North Maple Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
