Colin Mathew  Cote
Colin Mathew Cote, 36, of Ellington, passed from his earthly journey on Saturday April 9, 2016 at Rockville General Hospital. He was born on July 5, 1979 in Springfield, MA. Colin was a graduate of the CREC River St. School in Windsor, CT. He resided in Enfield for 14years, as well as in Manchester and Ellington. Colin was lovable, huggable, questioning, obstinate and enthusiastic. He loved holidays, “Easter Bunny”, “Trick or Treat”, “Santa Claus”, & “Turkey Time”, music with “Raffi” being his favorite, watching videos Pete’s Dragon & home movies he cherished over & over, tractors & lawnmowers were a big attraction. He enjoyed going for rides & saying “Hi” to everyone, stopping for food was a treat. His favorite saying were “what time is it?, raining, wanna fight, coffee & donuts, where’s mommy, daddy, and go home”.
Colin is survived by his father Joseph R. Cote of Hartford, his mother Brenda (Hanson) Cote & her husband Michael Brouillette of Enfield, a brother Nathan Cote & his wife Melanie of E. Longmeadow, MA, 3 nieces, his grandparent Mr. & Mrs. Howard Hanson of Enfield and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother Todd Cote, grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Felix Cote, great and great-great grandparents, an aunt Linda Forrest, an uncle Robert Cote, a cousin Louise Cote-Gunderson. Colin’s family would especially like to thank all the staff at the group homes and Rockville General Hosp. for the kind and compassionate care given to him.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Saturday Apr. 16, 2016 from 9:30 to 11:30 am followed by a Memorial Service with Mary Ellen Killeen officiating at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Interment will then take place in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
