David W. Croft, 77, of Enfield, passed into eternal rest on Monday June 13, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie B. (Black) Croft. David was born on July 28, 1938 in Concord, New Hampshire, to the late Richard and Barbara (Sholes) Croft. He had resided in Enfield for the past 46 years and in Concord, NH before that. David served his country proudly with the US Marine Corps. Prior to retiring in 2002 David was employed for 35 years with Aetna Life Insurance Co. He was a 32nd degree member of the Masons Blazing Star Eureka Lodge No. 11, Concord, NH. David was a coach with the Enfield Hockey Association and in his leisure time he enjoyed watching sports, being a fan of the UCONN Women’s basketball, Red Sox, NE Patriots and Boston Bruins.
Along with Marjorie his wife of 46 years, he is also survived by his children; David Croft & wife Susan of Concord, NH, Jeffrey Croft of Concord, NH, Michael Croft of Camano Island, WA and Deborah Croft of Enfield, CT, his five grandchildren; Bryan, Joshua, Zachary, Cullen and Camryn, a great-grandson; Blake, his two sisters; Shirley Coleman of Worcester, MA and Marilyn Angwin of Concord, NH, an aunt; Barbara Brown of Concord, NH, along with many nieces and nephews.
David’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday June 18, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of life service at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, CT. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart/Stroke Association P.O. Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.
