Obituary for Gordon R. Zuchegna

Gordon Rudolph Zuchegna, 86, of Enfield, CT, passed away at Saint Francis
Hospital on June 8, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Jenny (Tan)
Zuchegna for 51 years. Gordon was born on January 2, 1930, in Manhattan,
NY to the late Oriente and Alta (Sanderson) Zuchegna. He worked for almost
60 years as a technician in the field of telephone and radio
communications. He proudly served in the US Air Force from 1948 to 1952.
He then travelled around the world for decades, working in his chosen field
for Philco Ford, then later SBC, GTE, and finally Sprint. He was an avid
amateur radio (HAM) enthusiast. Besides his devoted & loving wife, Jenny,
he is survived by his daughter Evelyn Zuchegna, his son Daniel and wife
Bridget (Almquist) Zuchegna, and their daughter Kylie, all of Enfield, CT.
He also leaves behind 4 siblings, and numerous nieces, nephews,
grandnieces, and grandnephews across the country. He will be greatly
missed.
