James "Jimmy" F.  Peterson
James “Jimmy” F. Peterson (Schick), 62 of Enfield, passed from his earthly journey on Friday June 17, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Pamela J. (Walsh) Peterson. Jimmy was born on January 31, 1954 in Hartford, CT. Jimmy was the son of Jean A. (Cain) Schick of Enfield and the late Andrew W. Schick Jr. He was a 1973 Graduate of Enfield High School and had resided in Enfield most of his life and in Windsor the past 25 years. Jimmy was employed as a technician with Xerox, Co. for 28 years. He was an avid golfer, a Red Sox fan, and enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and especially his nieces and nephews. Pam would like to extend many thanks for the support during Jimmy’s illness to family and friends, especially to his sisters Jackie & Michele for their loving and compassionate care over the past weeks. Besides his wife of 13 years Pam and his mother Jean, Jimmy is also survived by his brother; Bruce Peterson & wife Robin of Maumee, OH, two sisters; Michele Richards & husband Edward of Enfield and Jackie Madore & husband Phillip of Manchester, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Besides his father, Bruce A. Peterson, he was also predeceased by a brother Brian Peterson.
Jimmy’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday June 27, 2016 from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m followed by a Celebration of Life service at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, CT. Interment will be private in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations in Jimmy’s memory be sent to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 26 Broadway 14th floor, New York, NY 10004, or ASPCA P.O. Box 96929 Washington, DC 20090-6929.
