Albert "Al" T.  Dube
Albert “Al” T. Dube, 84, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday Aug. 30, 2016 at Baystate Medical Ctr. Springfield, MA. He was the beloved husband of Doris Z. (Duclos) Dube. Albert was born on Dec. 21, 1931 in Hartford, CT, son of the late Desire J. and Irene (Brassard) Duby. He proudly served our country with the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Cowell DD 547, during the Korean War. Prior to retiring in 1993, Al was a locomotive engineer with the Boston & Maine Railroad for 42 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, B.P.O.E. #2222 Enfield Elks, the Tanguay Magill Post # 80 American Legion, Enfield, American Diabetes Assoc. AARP and a communicant of St. Martha Church, Enfield, Al was also an avid NY Yankees, NY Giants and UCONN Women Huskies Basketball fan.
Along with his wife Doris, he is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law; Thomas & Jennie Dube of Westerly, RI, Alan & Kathryn Dube of Somers, CT and Daniel & Dorothy Dube of Omaha, NE, his six beloved grandchildren; Jason, Justin, Erica, Derrick, Ryan and Paul, his two adored great-grandchildren; Madison & Morgan. He is also survived by a brother; Normand Dube and his wife Hugette of New Britain, a sister; Rita Dube-Schultz of Vernon and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and their spouses; Andrew & Lorraine Dube and Raymond & Helen Dube.
Relatives and friends may gather with Al’s family during calling hours on Friday Sept. 2, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Sept. 3, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) in St. Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield (Please meet at Church) followed by Military Honors. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, CT Chapter, P.O.
