Jean A. (Samborski) Bugden, 91, wife of the late William E. Bugden, died peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Woodlake of Tolland. Jean was the daughter of the late Frank and Antonina (Gonet) Samborski. A lifelong resident of Enfield, Jean was a communicant of St. Adalbert Church. She was a member of the Polish National Home in Enfield. Jean was employed by Bigelow Sanford, Wallace Manufacturing and the Enfield High School. She is survived by her loving children, Diane Preble of Stafford Springs, William Bugden and his wife, Teresa of Stafford Springs, Francis Bugden and his wife, Cheryl of Somers, and Patricia Pion of Enfield; eight grandchildren, Ryan and his wife, Katie, Derrick and his wife, Lisa, Elizabeth and her husband, Jason, Aaron and his wife, Savanah, Benjamin, Kelsey, Melissa and her husband, Marshall, and Andrea and her husband, Bill; five great grandchildren, Brenden, Blake, Gavin, Avery, and Jameson; many nieces and nephews; and her Best Friend Betty Fontaine. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, October 22, 2016 by 9:15 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels for a procession to St. Adalbert Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick King Street Cemetery. Jean’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, October 22, 2016 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Brown Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT 06082. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodlake at Tolland, Patient Activity Fund, 26 Shenipsit Lake Road, Tolland, CT 06084.
