Obituary for Bonnie Sanders

Bonnie  Sanders
Bonnie Sanders, 74, of Enfield, passed away on October 14, 2016. Born in Schenectady, NY, Bonnie was the daughter of Nellie (nee Hwaszcz) and the late Chester Kleaka. She lived briefly in MA before settling in CT with her husband, Alton "Tex" Sanders, to raise their family.
Bonnie was an avid camper and travelled the US extensively with her husband in their RV. She enjoyed an active retirement after working at the home office of Casual Corner in Enfield.
Bonnie was a fiber arts enthusiast. She crocheted, was a master knitter, keeping her family in socks, and had most recently taken up traditional rug hooking.
Bonnie is survived by her children and their spouses; Darrell and Marie Sanders of Orlando, FL, Deborah and Leonard Carlucci of Lincoln Park, NJ, Duane and Toni Sanders of Enfield, CT, and Deana and Geoffrey Chadwick of La Jolla, CA; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Lauren, Leonard, Savannah, Sierra, Soila, Grey and River; her mother, Nellie Kleaka; and her brother, Kenneth Kleaka (wife Kathy);
A memorial service will be held at Holy Family Church in Enfield, CT on Friday Oct. 21 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in Bonnie's memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (www.mskcc.org) or The Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation (www.cchfoundation.net) would be greatly appreciated by her family.
