Roy Alfred  Cormier
Roy Alfred Cormier, 65, of Enfield, passed from his earthly journey on Saturday Nov. 5, 2016 at Baystate Medical Ctr. in Springfield, MA. Roy was born on May 18, 1951 in Springfield, MA, son of the late Raymond and Mildred (Chillson) Cormier and had resided in Enfield all his life. Prior to retiring he was employed for almost 40 years with Windsor-Stevens Inc. Poquonock, CT. In his leisure time Roy enjoyed collecting and tinkering on Clocks of all types, building model cars & airplanes, trips to flea markets and tag sales, he was a car “Chevy” enthusiast and Nascar & Monster truck fan.
Roy is survived by his daughter; Sheila Ryals of St. Mary’s, GA, his four cherished grandchildren; Brett Cormier, Madison Lange, James Ryals and Colt Cormier. He is also survived by his three siblings; Sandra George & husband Ernest of Guilford, Suzann St. Pierre and Sarann Hackett both of Enfield, his aunt; Mable Cormier of Enfield and many nieces, nephews and cousins, along with his best friend Mike Meyers who was like a brother and Ray Okon. Besides his parents Roy was predeceased by his 1st wife, best friend and mother of his children Patricia, his son Roy A. Cormier, Jr., a brother Raymond Cormier and sister Charlotte Golden.
Services for Roy are private at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701 or the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St. East Hartford, CT 06108-3272.
