Arlene  Joyce  Parlapiano (Barnard)
Arlene J. (Barnard) Parlapiano, 83, beloved wife of 64 years to Angelo A. Parlapiano, entered in to eternal rest, on Thursday March 30, 2017. Born February 2, 1934 in Hartford, CT she was the daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Wheeler) Barnard. A graduate of Windsor High School, Arlene resided in Enfield for 60 years. Prior to retiring she was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at Windsor Rehabilitation Center in Windsor, CT. Family was of upmost importance to Arlene. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend,
Arlene is survived by her children, Joyce Parlapiano and Allen Wolovick of Foxboro, MA; Mark Parlapiano and Sandra Sawicki of Stafford, CT, Michael Parlapiano and Laura Wilson of Hartford, CT; Audrey and Timothy Shablom of Okeechobe, FL; Angela and Ryan White of Terryville, CT, Loretta DeLeon of Westfield, MA; Rozanne and Pat Droney and Gloria and Robert Walker, all of Enfield, CT and Anthony and Cali Parlapiano of East Longmeadow, MA. She also leaves seventeen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, along with two brothers Art Barnard of PA and Edward Barnard of CT and her brother-in-law, Maurice Hamilton of Windsor, CT. Arlene was predeceased by a great grandchild; Lorenzo, two sisters; Patricia and Louise and a brother Walter. Funeral Services for Arlene will be held on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Michael Coons officiating, her family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, CT. Burial will be private at the family’s convenience in the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 20 North St. Enfield, CT 06082.
