Obituary for Lawrence D. "Larry" Quinn

Lawrence “Larry” D. Quinn, 79, of Suffield entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday May 2nd, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Larry was born September 23, 1937 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield. He was the son of the late Daniel and Dorothy Quinn. Larry attended local schools and graduated from Enfield High School in 1956. He moved to Suffield where he raised his family and was a resident for the remainder of this life.
Shortly after graduation he began working for Hamilton Standard in Broad Brook where he retired after 39 years. He was also employed for 15 years for Enterprise Car Rental Agency… Larry served his country with the United States Army, was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member for life of the Enfield Hunters Club. Also, he was the Scout Master of Suffield Boy Scout Troop #260 for 26 years. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to Big Band Music.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he leaves his three cherished children; L.D. and his wife Wendy of Oklahoma City, Daniel and his wife Julie of North Carolina, and Debra of Windsor Locks. He also leaves a brother, Floyd Quinn of Somers, a brother-in-law, Jay Greski and his wife Grace, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Greski of Suffield, plus six loving grandchildren; Caitlin, Megan and Maddie Quinn, Eric, Emily and Alex Bursztyn.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 5, 2017 at 11:00 am in St. Adalbert Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield. Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Francis Hospital Cancer Center 114 Woodland St. Hartford, CT 06105.
