Richard John Comptois, 51, entered into eternal rest on Monday July 10, 2017 in California. He was born on Feb. 20, 1966 in Springfield, MA and resided in Enfield for 20 years before moving to California where he resided for the past 30 years. Richard attended local schools in Enfield and Enrico Fermi H.S. He had a great interest in the history of the American Indians and Indian Folk Lore, a passion for music, especially the Grateful Dead and was an avid gardener.
Richard is survived by his father David Comptois and his mother Sandra Balch both of Enfield, a sister Michele Canevari & husband John of Enfield, his niece Rachel and nephew John & wife Lauren, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. He was predeceased by sister Kristen, brother David, and uncle Richard.
Services for Richard will be private at the convenience of his family. Burial will be in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
