Sr. Mary Anastasia   Holak
Sister M. Anastasia Holak, CSSF, 91, died on Wednesday July 19, 2017in Our Lady of the Angels Care Center Enfield, CT. She was a beloved member of the Felician Sisters Community in Enfield for 72 years. Beloved daughter of the late Benjamin and Agnes (Kurta) Holak; and was predeceased by her siblings Stella, Emily, Walter, Edward and Genevieve. Sister is survived by two nieces Mary Beth Juszczyk and Nancy Capone. Sr. Anastasia was the co-founder of the Enfield Montessori School in Enfield, CT. Her love for teaching children using the Montessori Method, led her to extend the program to the elementary level-age 12 years. Through this she has touched the lives of many families and children.
Calling hours for Sister are on Friday July 21, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service following at Our Lady of the Angels Central Convent 1315 Enfield Street Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at the Convent. Committal will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to Enfield Montessori School or Felician Sisters Retirement Fund, 1315 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.
