Obituary for Atty Charles B. Alaimo

Atty Charles  B.   Alaimo
Atty. Charles B. Alaimo, 88, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life on Wednesday Aug. 2, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, He was the beloved husband of the late M. Eugenia “Genie” (Himes) Alaimo (1981). Charles was born on Aug. 29, 1928 in Enfield, CT to the late Benjamin C. and Claudia (Lamagna) Alaimo and was a life-long resident.
He attended Duquesne University Pittsburg, PA and received his Law Degree from Boston University. Charles practiced Law for 46 years in Enfield, he was a former town attorney and a state prosecutor, a 1st generation American, traveled to Europe, Egypt, especially loved Japan & Rio De Janeiro. His greatest accomplishment was raising seven children who all graduated college. Charles was former President of the Greater Enfield Chamber of Commerce from
1973 – 1975 and member of the Board of Directors for 25 years.
Charles is survived by a son Benjamin R. Alaimo of Somers, a son Michael C. “Pete” Alaimo & his wife Elizabeth “Betsy” of Enfield, a daughter Elizabeth M. “Betha” Alaimo of Enfield, and a son Christopher Alaimo of Somers, his twelve grandchildren; Matthew, Bridget, Franklin, Demetria, Jacky, Becky, Jake, Charles “Iggy”, Christopher “Coope”, Samantha, Phillip and Eric, his two great grandchildren; Alexander and Braxton, along with extended family members. Along with his parents and wife he was also predeceased by two daughters Veronica “Bitsy” Smith and Judeth “Juci” Alaimo and a son Peter “Dane” Alaimo.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Monday Aug. 7, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Aug. 8, 2017 with the funeral procession forming at 9:00 am at the funeral home to Holy Family Church, Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will then follow in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery, Enfield. The family has requested memorial donations in his memory be made to the Enfield Public Library 104 Middle Rd. Enfield, CT 06082.
