Obituary for Douglas J. Heck

Douglas “Doug” J. Heck, 75, of Enfield, entered in to Eternal Life on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Baystate Medical Ctr., Springfield, MA. He was the beloved husband of 45 years to the late Marie (Curcio) Heck (Oct. 2012). Douglas was born on Oct. 13, 1941 in Hartford, CT to the late Joseph and Priscilla (Phelon) Heck. Doug was a graduate of Windham Tech H.S. Willimantic, CT. He had resided in Enfield for the past 45 years and in Coventry before that. Doug served his country proudly with the Army National Guard from 1958 to 1966. Prior to retiring in November 2006 Doug was employed with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 43 years. He was a member of Holy Family Church, Enfield.
Douglas is survived by his two children Kenneth J. Heck & wife Trudy of Enfield and Lisa M. Rinaldi & husband Steven of Enfield, his three beloved grandchildren Christopher and Ashley Rinaldi and Stephanie Heck. He is also survived by his two sisters Priscilla Goulet of Andover, CT and Lorraine Dunphy & husband Thomas of Andover, CT, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Doug was also predeceased by a brother Russell Heck.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Sept. 29, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday Sept. 30, 2017 with the funeral procession forming at 12:00 p.m. from the funeral home to Holy Family Church, Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
