Mary "Mae" S.  Brutto (Scrivano)
Mary “Mae” S. (Scrivano) Brutto, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life on Wednesday September 27, 2017 at Cold Spring Hills Health & Rehab, Woodbury, NY. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late Charles “Chif” J. Brutto (1992). Mary was born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Milo) Scrivano, she had resided in Brooklyn, NY for 20 years and was an Enfield resident for many years before relocating to Bethpage, LI, NY to be near family.
Prior to her retirement in 1984 Mae was employed by Johnson’s Book Store in Springfield, MA for 20 years. She was a member of the Rinaldi- Roy Fede Post #17 for many years and was president for 12 years, also past state president.
Mae is survived by eleven special nieces and nephews whom Mae & Chif were very fond of, they thought of them as their own children. Besides her parents and husband Mae was predeceased by a brother Salvatore Scrivano, two sisters Pauline Bonafede and Jean Norrito, two sisters-in-law Frances Scrivano and Mary LoStimolo, an aunt Mary Falzone, and a niece Jennie Pourferdowski,
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Mae’s life will be held on Saturday Oct. 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Enfield. Burial will take place in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mae’s memory may be made to St. Patrick Church 64 Pearl St. Enfield, CT 06082.
