Obituary for Patricia A. Bailey (Lindsay)

Patricia  A.  Bailey (Lindsay)
Patricia A. (Lindsay) Bailey, 82, of Windsor Locks & Cape Coral, FL, also formerly of Enfield. Beloved wife of Ralph Bailey, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 in the comfort of her home, with loved ones at her side. Born on Feb. 8, 1935 in Charlotte, NC to the late Claude and Predie (Reaves) Lindsay. Prior to her retirement in 1997, Patricia was employed for 25 years at Western New England University. The greatest love in her life was family. Throughout her life, she enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach, her new home in Florida, attending special events for her grandchildren, her church (United Methodist Church of Enfield), her prayer shawl group, and she was a fan of the UCONN “Huskies” Women’s Basketball Team.
In addition to her husband, Ralph of 60 years she is survived by her four children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Cindy & Bill Manning of Smyrna, GA, and their children, Matthew Manning and Sara Hersch; Scott & Jean Bailey of Somers, and their children, Jessica and Joseph Bailey; Gayle & Peter Capezzone of Ivoryton, CT, and their children Kara Gibbons, (her children Grayson & Noah Gibbons) and John Capezzone; Pamela & Patrick Spica of North Granby, CT, and their children, Alexandra, Taylor and Anthony Spica. She is also survived by a sister Mary Ellen Montgomery of Charlotte, NC, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents Patricia was predeceased by a son Ralph Bailey, Jr. and sisters Jean Walker, “Dickie” Cloninger, and “Billie” Madle.
Patricia’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, CT. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday Oct. 12, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the United Methodist Church of Enfield (Please meet at the church). Committal services will be at the convenience of the family in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the United Methodist Church of Enfield, 41 Brainard Rd. Enfield, CT 06082.
