Obituary for Lorraine E. Kinney (Corning)
Lorraine E. (Corning) Kinney, 62 of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Thursday Nov. 9, 2017, with loved ones at her side, at Baystate Medical Ctr. Springfield, MA. She was the beloved wife of Wayne A. Kinney. Lorraine was born on June 26, 1955 to the late Claire and Mary (Dailey) Corning Spencer. She was a graduate of Enrico Fermi H.S. and had resided in Enfield most of her life. Lorraine career as a bookkeeper found her employed with Porcello’s, Smyth Bus Co. and Best Sellers Auto. She was a member of the Women’s Club of Enfield.
In her leisure time she enjoyed doing crafts, embroidering, cross-stitch, crocheting and knitting, her greatest joy was spending time with family especially the grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Wayne of 38 years, she is survived by two children Joseph Kinney and Donna Hamre & husband Joshua, all of Enfield, her four cherished grandchildren, two brothers; Rich Corning and Greg Corning both of Enfield, her step-father Les Spencer of Enfield, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday Nov. 16, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Funeral Services will take place on Friday Nov. 17, 2017 at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. John Melnick officiating. Interment will follow in the Enfield Street Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations may be made to the ALS Assoc. CT Chapter, 4 Oxford Rd. Unit D4 Milford, CT 06460.
