Anna Marie (Greco) Sferrazza, 91&1/2, beloved wife of 57 years to the late Vincent J. Sferrazza, entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family, on Monday (January 8, 2018). Born at home in Holyoke, MA on June 6, 1926 she was a daughter of Sabato and Eugenia (Parentela) Greco. Anna attended local schools in Holyoke before moving on to a secretarial job at Eastern Container. She married her husband Vincent in 1955, prior to moving to CT where she started a new career of raising five children. Anna enjoyed spending winters in Florida and summers in Cape Cod. She was well known for her cooking, baking and gorgeous hand made afghans and scarves.
A devoted mother, Anna is survived by her 5 children who adored her; Laura of Seminole, Fla who was her devoted caregiver, Joseph and wife Colleen of Enfield, Lynn of Suffield, Sandra of Seminole, FL, and David and partner Job Stanley of Seminole, FL. “She was loving, caring and giving and we are honored and blessed to call her Mom”. She leaves her sister-in-law Marsha Greco and special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Philip Greco. Anna, a special, caring woman who always put others first, will be sadly missed by all that knew her and whose lives she touched. “A brilliant light was taken from our lives, but we know she is above shining her light in the heavens” She was a communicant of St. Bernard Church, any memorial donations can be made in her name, to her church.
Anna’s family will receive relatives and friends, Friday, January12, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 with a procession forming at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Bernard Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick King St. Cemetery.
