Obituary for M Rosamond Burr
M. Rosamond Burr, 81, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Thursday Jan. 25, 2018 in the comfort of her home with loved ones at her side. Rosamond was born on Feb. 8, 1936 in Pawtucket, RI to the late Charles G. And Marion L. (McKay) Burr. She grew up in Houlton, Maine and had resided in Enfield for the past 57 years. She received her Associates Degree from Asnuntuck Community College. Prior to retiring Rosamond was employed as an Administrative Secretary with the Enfield Board of Ed for 27 years.
In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, kayaking and was an avid camper.
Rosamond is survived by her three children; Timothy McIntosh & wife Joanne of Enfield, J. Patrick McIntosh & Lori Grady of Gloucester, MA and Teresa McIntosh Melton & husband Kenneth of North Carolina, her beloved grandchildren; Emily McIntosh & Damon Patnoe, Whitney McIntosh and Ryan & Valarie McIntosh, and cherished great granddaughter; Elena McIntosh. She is also survived by a sister; Jane Burr of Portland, ME and a brother Charles Burr of Peaks Island, ME.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday Jan. 30, 2018 at 8:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, her family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Trinity Health of New England at Home, Hospice Program P.O. Box 1199, 101 Phoenix Ave. Enfield, CT 06083.
