Obituary for Thomas John Carenzo, Sr.

Thomas  John  Carenzo, Sr.
Thomas J. Carenzo, Sr. 75, of Enfield, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, with loved ones at his side. Thomas was the beloved husband of Kathryn C. (Clarkin) Carenzo. He was born on July 31, 1942, in Springfield, MA. to the late Michael F. and Flora J. (DelBené) Carenzo and had resided in Enfield and Somers. He was a graduate of Enfield High School and served his country proudly with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Prior to retiring in 2000, he owned and operated his catering and banquet business “Country Caterers”, for 33 years. Thomas enjoyed cooking, fishing, trips to Mohegan Sun and was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan.
In addition to his wife, Kathryn of 54 years, Thomas is survived by his three children; Alysia Caruolo and husband Norman of Longmeadow, Thomas J. Carenzo, Jr. and wife Lorianne of Somers, and Mara Carenzo-Zukowski and husband Scott of Somers. He also leaves his sister, Joan and husband Evan Evans of Houston, TX; his brother, Michael and wife Joan of Stuart, FL; his beloved grandchildren, Anthony and Samantha Zukowski, Anthony Caruolo and Sophia, Amelia and Dominic Carenzo along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His family will receive relatives and friends on Wed., Jan. 31, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, followed by a Memorial Service and Military Honors at 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapel, Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be made to Baystate Palliative Care or Hospice, C/O Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut Street Springfield, MA. 01199.
