Obituary for Marie Colton

Marie   Colton
Marie I. (Morin) Colton, 86, of Somers, entered into Eternal Life on Thursday Jan. 25, 2018 at The Suffield House with loved ones at her side. She was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Raymond Charles Colton, Sr. (8/31/2010). Marie was born on Dec. 29, 1931 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to the late Homer and Alexandrina Morin and had resided in Enfield and Somers. Prior to retiring in 1992 Marie was employed with Hamilton Standard / Sundstrand, Windsor Locks for over 30 years. She was a member of All Saints Church, Somers, and former member of the Claddagh Club of Enfield. A loving devoted wife, mother and grandmother she dedicated her life to caring for her family and putting the needs of others before herself.
Marie is survived by her two loving children; Sharon Saviski & fiancé Bill Granata of Somers, and Raymond Colton of Enfield, her beloved grandchildren; Julie DiCostanzo & husband Joseph of Enfield, Jacob & Joshua Saviski of Suffield, Laura & David Colton of Enfield and Ellen Scruggs, great grandchildren; Caitlin, Tyler and Charles, and a great-great grandson; Zachary. She also is survived by two sisters; Rita Cartier and Millie Lamoreaux, along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Suffield House especially those that gave her the loving and compassionate attention during her brief time there.
Per her request there are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sat. Feb. 3, 2018 at 11:00 am in All Saints Church 25 School St. Somersville section of Somers. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
