J. Kevin  Schnaars
J. Kevin Schnaars, 60, entered into peace on Saturday March 3, 2018. Kevin was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey on December 22, 1957. He was an Enfield resident for thirty years where he raised his children Derek, Phillip and Rebecca with Deborah Ann Chall. Kevin was employed by United Technologies for over twenty years. He was a coach for many years with the Enfield Soccer Club where he coached his children in the travel programs. He was also a former director for the Kevin Barmak Memorial Tournaments. Kevin enjoyed golf at Copper Hill and was an avid sports fan of Newcastle United Football Club, UConn Huskies, New York Jets and the Boston Red Sox. His dog Kane was an important part of his life. He is survived by his loving wife Maureen Chambers Schnaars. He leaves behind his beloved family, a son and daughter-in-law Derek and Jennifer of Enfield, a son Phillip and his fiancée Christine of Broad Brook, a daughter Rebecca and partner Carey of Enfield, a daughter Kelly and son-in-law James Pasinski of Meriden and a daughter Kristine and son-in-law Stephen Signore of Killingworth. He also leaves behind his nine grandchildren; Amelia, Emma, Nora, Lilly, Molly, Austin, Hailey, Stephen, and Aubrey. Kevin is survived by a brother Bruce Zitko and his wife Maggie of Manchester, a sister Terry Abend of Idaho Falls, ID, and a sister-in-law Chris Zitko of New Jersey. Kevin was predeceased by his mother Linda and a brother William. Kevin’s family would like to thank the Nurses at Hartford Hospital for the exceptional care given to him. Funeral service will be held Friday March 9th, 11:00 am at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker RD, Enfield .
