Obituary for Marie A. Jackson (Touhill)
Marie A. (Touhill) Jackson, 87, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday March 7, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late William Jackson. Marie was born on February 18, 1931 in Hartford, CT to the late Patrick and Helen (O’Brien) Touhill and had resided in Enfield for the past 65 years. Prior to retiring Marie was employed for 14 years with Oak Hill School for the Blind as a caretaker.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who dedicated her life to caring for her family and home.
Marie is survived by her children; Alfred Woike, Jr. & wife Kim of FL, John Woike of Enfield, Michael Woike of FL, Patrick Woike & wife Darlene of FL, Jean Gardner & husband Arthur of Enfield, Russell Woike & Diane of FL and Kenneth Woike & Lisa of Windsor, her beloved 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, also a sister Jean Kupec of Broad Brook, along with several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family on Monday March 12, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a service at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Burial will then take place in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart/Stroke Association, P.O. Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.
