Obituary for Joseph J. Barone
Joseph J. Barone, 94, of Enfield, CT, beloved husband of the late Ann (Consolini) Barone, entered into Eternal Life on Monday, March 12, 2018. He was born on August 12, 1923 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, CT, the son of the late Cologero and Angelina (Brancaro) Barone. He has been a lifelong resident of Enfield. He proudly served his country during WW II in Panama with the United States Army. Joseph was a talented carpenter and worked on many bridges and buildings in the Hartford area. He retired from Carpenters Union Local 43.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Nancy Raber of Enfield, CT; two sons, Carl Barone and his partner, Dee Dawson of West Palm Beach, FL, and Joseph Barone and his partner, Joanne Arcouette of Enfield, CT; seven grandchildren, Anne Marie Tassmer of Wallingford, CT, Karen Raber and her fiancé, Timothy Buswell of Enfield, CT, Joseph Barone and his wife, Dr. Caren Barone of South Windsor, CT, Gina Scully and her husband, Michael of Ellington, CT, Tommy Miller and his fiancée Elizabeth Selig of Windsor Locks, CT, Nicholas Barone and his wife, Candice of Enfield, CT, and Alyssa Barone of Queens, NY; eight great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Raber and her fiancé Connor DeMerchant of Meriden, CT, Michael Tassmer of Wallingford, CT, Matthew Raber of Enfield, CT, Owen and Nathan Barone of South Windsor, CT, Brooke and Brielle Scully of Ellington, CT, and Jaxson Miller of Windsor Locks, CT; a brother John Barone of Cromwell, CT; two sisters, Josephine Spazzarini of Suffield, CT, and Anna Rodrigue and her husband Ray of Windsor Locks, CT; and several nieces and nephews.
Joseph was predeceased by his sisters, Marion Drago, Angelina Tyskewicz; and his brothers, Charles Barone and Samuel Barone.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Friday March 16, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels Enfield, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church Enfield, CT (Please meet at church) followed by military honors. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield, CT. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Enfield EMS1296 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.
