Dorothy "Dottie” Lee Zucchi of Enfield entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, June 14, 2006. The daughter of the late Ira Lee and Viola (Price) Bray, Dottie was born in Benson North Carolina in 1928, where she resided until she was eighteen years old and then moved to Richmond, Virginia. In 1950 Dottie relocated with her family to Connecticut first to Berlin and then in1959 to Enfield where she remained for the rest of her life. Prior to her retirement in 1994, Dottie worked full time for High G in Windsor Locks as a Lab Technician. Until last Sunday, Dottie worked for over 30 years part-time at McDonalds on Elm Street in Enfield. Dottie did not consider her employment t McDonalds as a job, but as part of her extended family: she loved her independence, her customers and the social interaction. Dottie loved to garden, shop, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren, "they were her life”. Dottie is survived by her son Louis Zucchi III and his wife Juliette of Berlin, three daughters: Mariette Zucchi of Winchester, VA, Lee Ann Chase and her husband James of Enfield, and Donna Zucchi of Enfield. Four grandchildren: Louis Zucchi IV, Barbara Doull, Adam Chase, Amanda Bagley, and three great- grandchildren. She also leaves her very special friend of over thirty years, Bob along with special family members Beverly Martin and Jerry Pappas.
Arrangements for Dottie have been entrusted to Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Services will be held Saturday (June 17, 2006) at the funeral home with a wake 9-11 am.
