Obituary for Aleg P. Ivanoff

Aleg P. Ivanoff of Enfield, beloved husband of Charlotte "Montemarano” Ivanoff, passed away at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Thursday April 26. Aleg was born in Princeton, NJ the son of the late Peter & Galina "Grantovich” Ivanoff; he graduated from Freehold High School in Freehold NJ and the Pratt Institute in New York City. Aleg had resided in Enfield for the past 47 years and worked at Combustion Engineering as a Graphic Designer, retiring in 1989. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War, a founding member of the Boy Scout Troop 888, a Boy Scout Commissioner, and a honorary member of the Knights of Columbus, Somers Council. He is survived by his wife Charlotte, of 55 years, his children Robert Ivanoff and wife Karen of Enfield, Gail Ivanoff and Joseph Kaplan of Southwick, MA, Karen DiBiase and husband Robert of Enfield, and Richard Ivanoff and wife Heather of Enfield. Aleg also leaves his grandchildren Brian, Nick, Alyssa, Ryan, Jason, and several nieces and nephews. Aleg was predeceased by his granddaughter Tanya Ivanoff and his sister Tanya Cain. Visitation for Aleg will be held Monday (April 30th) at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels from 3 -7 pm. Burial will be in the Middletown Veterans Cemetery with military honors at the convenience of the family.
