Annie M. "Anne"  Verret
Annie (Anne) M. Verret, 84 of Enfield, beloved wife of 46 years to Camille M. Verret who preceded her in death on June 16, 2003, entered into eternal rest on Sunday March 2, 2008 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 16, 1923 in Scotland a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Howat) Hynd and came to the US in 1955 settling in Manchester before moving to Enfield in 1961. Annie attended schools in Scotland. Prior to retiring Annie was employed by the Enfield Press as distribution supervisor for many years. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing cards and games, baking, ceramics, crafts, needlepoint, making her favorite Kahlua and was an avid reader. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt she leaves many fond memories for her family to cherish. She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Verret and Beverly Tambling both of Enfield, her pride and joy a granddaughter, Allison Tambling of Ellington, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leo and Juliette Verret of St. Albans, VT along with many nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Carol Marshall. She was also predeceased by two sisters, May and Cathie and a brother, Harry. Annie's family would especially like to thank the nurses and staff of Johnson Memorial Hospital for the attention and care given to her during her visits. A Memorial Service in celebration of Annie's life will be held on Friday March 7, 2008 at 7pm from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Relatives and friends are invited to call on the family prior to the service from 5 to 7pm. Interment will be at the convenience of her family. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans/United Spinal Association 54 Nashua St. Milford, NH 03055-3717.
