Stephanie S. (Guzauskas) Nieroda, 86, of Enfield, entered into eternal peace, Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Alexandria Manor, Bloomfield, CT. Born February 21, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Peter P. and Barbara (Yanaka) Guzauskas and had been a resident of Enfield for 50 years, before moving to Broad Brook a year ago. Stephanie was a member of St. Martha's Parish, the Daughters of St. Therese and the Legion of Mary. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for over 25 years with Package Machinery of E. Longmeadow, MA. A loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Stephanie is survived by her children, Stephen Nieroda and wife Debra and Joseph Nieroda, Jr. all of Enfield; grandchildren, Tracey and Bill Morin, John and Brenda Nieroda, Nicole and David Drury, Stephen and Jackie Nieroda, Kelly Nieroda and Melinda Cross, along with 11 grandchildren, her dear friend Margaret Hurley and many nieces and nephews. Stephanie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 36 years, Joseph J. Nieroda, Sr. and brothers, Peter and Stanley Guzauskas. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Stephanie's life will be held 11 a.m., Thursday July 16, 2009, in St. Martha's Church, Enfield. Burial will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
