Obituary for Nancy L. Vella (Borsuk)

Nancy L.  Vella (Borsuk)
Nancy L. (Borsuk) Vella, of Enfield, entered peacefully into eternal life in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones at the age of 77 on Monday April 5, 2010. She was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Charles “Chic” J. Vella (8/29/2009) and daughter of the late Louis and Agatha (Wroblewska) Borsuk, born on December 27, 1932 in Easthampton, MA. She lived in Easthampton thru out her childhood and was a graduate of the Easthampton High School Class of “1950” and then resided in Enfield for the past 58 years. Prior to her retirement in 1998 Nancy was employed by the Town of Enfield for 14 years as a librarian at the Enfield Public Library she was an outgoing and personable individual who also worked as a receptionist and hostesses.
In her leisure time she loved knitting, crossword puzzles, reading, writing poetry and floral arranging. In her youth she belonged to the Early Birds Bowling League and won several championships. Her greatest joy however was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her loving family, a son David Vella & his wife, Joanne of Gansevoort, NY, a daughter Diane Mangini and her husband, Todd of Enfield, a daughter Lori Bouchard and her husband, Raymond also of Enfield, her four beloved grandchildren; Lisa Mangini, Angelina & Chiara Vella and Nicole Bouchard. She is also survived by a brother John Borsuk and his wife, Irene of Easthampton, MA and two sisters Jane Zywar of Easthampton, MA and Faye Brennan of Sebring, FL along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nancy has gone to be reunited with her beloved husband, parents, a brother Edward Borsuk and four sisters Sophie Diefenderfer, Rose Miller, Helen Grabon and Mary Polito in Heaven.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Thursday (4/8/10) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will take place on Friday (4/9/10) with the funeral procession forming at 9:00 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels to Holy Family Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
