Maureen J. (Halfpenny) Yarnes, of Enfield, passed from her earthly journey on Thursday (Feb. 24, 2011). She was born on December 30, 1956 in Westbury, New York the daughter of Thomas Halfpenny of L.I. NY and the late Catherine Halfpenny and resided in Enfield for the past 26 years.
Maureen was employed for the last 14 years with Big Y Supermarkets.
She is survived by her companion of 11years William Mothes, her beloved children; Jason Yarnes and fiancée Sara Jutras of Enfield, Nicole Yarnes of Enfield, John Yarnes of Ohio, Casey Yarnes and fiancée Jessica Anderson of Enfield and Daniel Yarnes of Enfield and their father John T. Yarnes,III of Somers, her three loving grandchildren; Trent Yarnes, Katrina Vern and Riley Muldoon. She is also survived by her siblings; Judy, Carol, Rocky and Linda Halfpenny all of Westbury, NY along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Maureen’s life will be held on Saturday (March 5, 2011) at 5:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Her family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of her family.
