Obituary for Joseph A. Vetrone

Joseph A.  Vetrone
Joseph A. Vetrone, of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of Enfield, CT entered into eternal peace on Sunday (May 29, 2011) in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born on Aug. 30, 1934, in Queens, NY a son of the late Angelo and Mary (Pongiture) Vetrone. Joseph served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Jaguar for 35 years and most recently employed by Vehicle Leasing of Meriden. Joseph was the loving husband and best friend to Jill (Schack) Vetrone, a loving and dedicated father to Gregory Vetrone and his wife Erin of NY, Janine Pagan and her husband Michael of NY, Melissa, Dana, and Colette Vetrone of NJ, step father to Valerie Sloane of Seattle, beloved grandfather to Thomas, Vanessa, Vinny and Roseann. He is also survived by his two sisters, Alberta Fricchione and her husband Nick of NY and Phyllis Spigonardo of NY a brother Angelo Vetrone and his wife Anna of FL along with several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Friday (June 3, 2011) from 3 to 7 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Enfield, CT 06082. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (June 4, 2011) with the procession forming at 9:00 am at the funeral home to St. Patrick’s Church for a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
