Sarah “Sally” A. (Johnson) Garrow, 82, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, February 23, 2019 with loved ones at her side, in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of 40 years to the late Charles R. Garrow. Sarah was born on November 20, 1936 in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late John E. and Marjorie (Estell) Johnson and resided in Enfield for the past 54 years and in Somers prior to that. Prior to retiring in 1997 Sally was employed as a customer service clerk with Milton Bradley later Hasbro Co., East Longmeadow, MA. She was a member of St. Martha Church, Enfield. In her leisure time she enjoyed crafting, camping, flowers and loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She is survived by her loving daughter and caregiver Beth Garrow, three beloved grandchildren; Jacob Garrow, Rose Elizabeth Garrow and Emily Rae Garrow, a brother John P. Garrow, along with several nieces and nephews, and John Mays. Besides her husband and parents, she is also predeceased by two sons Dennis and Christopher Garrow, a daughter Deborah Garrow and companion John Mays.
Family and friends will gather for a period of remembrance on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. Services and burial will be at the convenience of family in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
