Obituary for Anna Marie Salvato (Salvato)

Anna Marie Salvato, 77, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest, on Thursday, 15, 2022. Born June, 28, 1945 in Hartford, CT to the late Thomas and Helen (Burke) Salvato. She had resided in Enfield for the past 37 years and before that in Norfolk, Dublin, Ireland and San Francisco, CA. Anna attended grammar school at St. Mary’s School and was a 1963 graduate of Windsor Locks H.S. She received her Master’s Degree in History and English Literature from UCONN. Anna was employed for 10 years with Anti-Defamation League of Ban-Birth.
She was a member of Students for a Democratic Society, Anti-War activist and demonstrator against the war in Vietnam, and worked as a fundraiser for ADL, antique dealer, and advocated for animal rescues and humane society.
Anna is survived by her loving daughter Francesca Salvato, her two beloved grandchildren Thomas Daniel and Leo Daniel Castonguay, two brothers Joseph Burke of PA, and Robert Salvato of Windsor Locks. Along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas, Leo and Joseph Salvato.
Relatives and friends can join her family during calling hours on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:30am at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am in St. Patrick Church (St. Jeanne Jugan Parish) Enfield. Interment will be held in the spring in Norfolk Center Cemetery Norfolk, CT.
