ENFIELD - Annie L. (Benson) Bowen, 83, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 1, 2020 in St. Francis Hospital.  Born in Queens City, VA, daughter of the late Leander and Lenora (Barrington) Benson, she lived in New York City and Hartford before moving to Enfield forty-seven years ago.  She worked at Pratt & Whitney as a data entry specialist.  In 1990, Annie received her diploma of Practical Theology from the International Seminary.  She was a member of the Third Baptist Church in Suffield for over thirty-five years and was an ordained minister on August 23, 1987. She loved to garden, and she loved her children and family.  She leaves her husband of forty-two years, Walter Bowen, her children, Eric and Gladys Bowen of Enfield, Myrtle Bowen of Ft. Washington, MD, Darryl Bowen, Melissa Bowen Woodyard, Walter Bowen, Jr. all of Enfield, Derrick Bowen of Daytona, FL, Howard Bowen, Tyrrell Bowen and Lyndel Bowen all of Enfield, Jessie Henderson, of Manchester, twenty-three grandchildren, Alexis Gaud, Jeremy Bowen, Gaberial Bowen, Joshua Woodyard, Chad Woodyard II, Miles Woodyard, Darien Bowen, Demitrious Bowen, Demarcus Bowen, Lola Bowen, Jalen Bowen, Mason Bowen, Kingston Bowen, Legend Bowen, Anthony Bowen, Dyshawn Bowen, Mya Bowen, Derrick Bowen Jr., Malik Bowen, Malachi Bowen, Gianni Bowen, Jeremiah Lauren, Faith Guad and Trevor Bauel, a sister, Audrey Hampton and a brother, Albert Benson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Edith Hawkins Pope, Lenora Lollar Sutton, Leander Benson Jr., Rosetta Bly, Earl Benson, Evelyn Clark, Ola Benson.  The funeral will be Friday, February 7, 2020 from 11am - 1pm at the Second Baptist Church, 100 North Main Street, Suffield followed by burial in Mountain View Cemetery in Bloomfield.  The calling hours will be at the church on Friday, preceding the service, from 9:30 - 11am.
