Barbara Jean ((Weis) Dickinson, 86, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 6, 2022. She was the beloved wife of 42 years to the late David Charles Dickinson. Born on September 25, 1936 in Lodi, NJ, daughter of the late Bernard and Norma (Martensen) Weis. Barbara had resided in Enfield for the past 56 years and in Glastonbury before that. Prior to retiring in 1996 she was employed for 20 years with Finast/Edwards Warehouse, Windsor Locks.
Barbara is survived by her son David Dickinson & wife Clare of Stuart, VA and two daughters Gloria Dickinson of Swanzey, NH and Joanne James of Enfield, CT, two beloved grandchildren David C. Dickinson, III, and Andrew James. She is also survived by her siblings Patricia Carr of Milford, CT, Carol Schulz of Big Pine Key, FL, James Weis & wife Jan, and Vincent Weis & wife Karen of all of FL, along with several nieces and nephews and other family. Besides her parents, and husband she was predeceased by her siblings, Bernard, Gerald, Donald, Thomas, and John Weis, Natalie Mabesoon, and Rosemary Mancini.
A special thanks to Johnson Memorial ICU staff particularly Lisa and Aubrey for the wonderful care, kindness, and compassion shown to Barbara in her last days.
